Norfolk County Council By-Election Public Meeting Tuesday 10th July, 7.30pm at the Village Hall, in the David Myhill Room

At the Yaxham Parish Council meeting last Thursday, 28th June 2018 there were calls from the three dozen members of the public present for the three by-election candidates to appear before the public and answer questions. In response, Peter Lowings, Chairman, and Ian Martin, Vice-Chairman contacted the three candidates to invite them to attend. All have confirmed. Subject to the weather and the number of people attending, the meeting may take place outside.

The candidates attending are: Harry Clarke – Labour, Ed Connolly – Conservative, and Andrew Thorpe – Liberal Democrat. We have invited Graham Tuttle to Chair the hustings. He was until recently Chief Executive Officer of the Norfolk Community Foundation, and is currently Chief Executive Officer of the Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity. Until recently Graham was a resident of Yaxham. There will be opening statements by each candidate, the questions and answer session and rounding off with the candidates’ closing statements.

All are welcome. We are leafletting the village and inviting all residents to come along, bring friends and neighbours, hear what the three candidates are saying, ask them questions and make their mind up as to who would best should represent Yaxham at County Hall.
