Parish Council Agrees WW1 Centenary Bench for Clint Green

The Council has agreed to a WW1 Commemorative Bench in Clint Green, to be sited on the grass by the bus-shelter (thanks to Mr & Mrs Harvey). This followed the Council’s consultation in September of all Clint Green residents. 20 households responded (out of 122, i.e. 16%) all supporting the proposal, and over 80% of these responses supported the bench being in and around the junction of Well Hill and Norwich Road. The Parish Council will now proceed to purchase two benches, one for the Recreation Field by Yaxham Village Hall and one for Clint Green by the bus-shelter. Our thanks to everyone who participated.

I think it would be great to have a bench in CG. We miss out quite a bit because of a lack of suitable areas for flower boxes etc. I think pkant boxes at the village signs would be attractive. The only place I could see the bench is on the corner of Well Hill by the bus stop in place of the useless bus shelter. Maybe a canopy over the top could be added too.

Many thanks for this – your comments will be included in the review of the consultation responses after the close of the consultation on 21st September.
