Neighbourhood Plan Referendum Result

On 4th May 2017 over half of the village voted:
92% voted “YES”
8% voted “No”

This was an overwhelming vote of confidence that the Neighbourhood Plan reflected what the village has said in all the consultations over the last 20 months since the public meeting in September 2015. This was thanks to Yaxham Voting YES, this is the first Neighbourhood Plan in Breckland, and only the 300th in England – quite an achievement for a small village in mid-Norfolk.

Our thanks to everyone who has worked on this, who has supported the Plan and
who turned out to vote on 4th May 2017.
Next Steps: Breckland Council in June will “make” the Yaxham Neighbourhood Plan part of the planning process for all new planning applications in Yaxham. The NP4Yaxham Working Group will then bring forward proposals for the next stage of implementation and monitoring of the Plan.
