Add an event

Use events for announcing events and meetings that will happen at a particular date, time and place. If you have an article about an event that’s already happened, you may want to add news instead (see below)

To add a new event, go to the Events menu on the black sidebar, and select Add Event

You may then write a title for your event, and add the description of your event. Click here for additional help editing content.

You will also need to enter the date and time of the event on the right hand side.

Finally, you will have to add “Where” the event will be happening. Under Location Name, start typing the name of the place, we have already added locations such as the Village Hall, the Church, Railway Station etc, so you won’t need to write out the full address.

Once you’ve added this information, click the blue Publish button on the right hand side.

TIP: Be sure to select all event categories that apply in the checkboxes on the right hand side – this will help ensure your event appears on all the relevant pages within the site.
