Good News – Yaxham Parish Council helped defeat the Westfield Road, Toftwood 291+ homes planning application by Lanpro/Glavenhill.
Standing room only at the Breckland Planning Committee Meeting on Monday 15th January 2018. With a great turnout from the residents of Toftwood, supplemented by residents of Yaxham.

Dereham Town Council and Toftwood Life Community (TLC) led the objections supported by Peter Lowings, Yaxham Parish Chairman, Ian Martin, NP4Yaxham, and Yaxham’s district councillor, Paul Claussen. The debate went on for sometwo hours and in the end it was a tied vote on whether to reject the application – against the officer recommendation. The Chairman of the Planning Committee, Cllr Nigel Wilkin (Necton), had to give his casting vote, and he came down on the side of the objectors. Great relief all round. Lanpro/Glavenhill now have six months in which to consider an appeal.
