Sports Changing Facilities Update

Last month saw the first stage in plans to provide changing facilities for groups using the hall or recreation ground for sports/ exercise.

We succeeded in obtaining a grant through the Norfolk Community Foundation and the Breckland Outdoor and Play Fund. A great deal of site preparation was required before the unit arrived on 16th August at 7.00am and many thanks are due to the team that helped make this happen, especially Bob Gust, Paul Phillips and Cllr Steve Goldsmith. Added to that the Parish Council and Football Club have helped.

The haulage company driver manoeuvred the building into the car park with just two inches to spare before lifting the building into place with perfect precision; a lot of heavy breaths were taken! Now it is in place, we have to convert the building into an acceptable facility; this will require running power to the unit and constructing a partition so that two separate rooms are created.

Finally, we will hopefully be making the building more pleasant to the eye, by creating a vinyl wrap to bring a far more attractive finish. We are always on the lookout for willing hands to help us to drive forward some exciting project ideas and create an even better facility for all. Why not come and join us?
