Yaxham is a small rural village situated in the heart of Norfolk, about sixteen miles to the west of Norwich and two miles south east of the nearest market town, Dereham. There are about 772 inhabitants in settlements of Yaxham and Clint Green with farmland between. The medieval church of St Peter with its late C11 or early C12 circular west tower lies at the heart of the village conservation area.
